Sony Ericsson Hazel and Elm Eco Mobiles Announced


UK : Sony Ericsson has announced two new GreenHeart mobiles, the Sony Ericsson Elm (Pictured Above) and the Sony Ericsson Hazel.


The Greenheart range aims reduce CO2 emissions and Sony Ericsson aims to make all its mobiles Greenheart compliant by 2011.


The two mobiles, the Sony Ericsson Hazel and the Sony Ericsson Elm, will reduce carbon emissions through by using recycled plastics, having an e-manual pre-loaded onto the phone, not using hazardous chemicals, using low power consumption chargers, minimized packaging, condensed userguide and waterborne paint.


The Sony Ericsson Hazel and the Sony Ericsson Elm have some common features. Both phones will feature “Quality Voice” which ensures your voice is heard without noise and is as clear as possible when talking on your phone. Both the Sony Ericsson Hazel and the Sony Ericsson Elm have an egonomic keypad and human curvature making them highly comfortable to hold and use.


Both also feature a 5 megapixel camera, which is perfect for uploading content to your social networks, which can be easily accessed using widgets from your homescreen. They also both feature Google search, Google Maps, Wisepilot and AGPS navigation software.


Both the Sony Ericsson Hazel and the Elm support full 3G network capability.

The Sony Ericsson Hazel (pictured below) has a 2.6 inch display, internal memory of 280mb, microSD support and comes in with dimensions of 102.5 x 49.5 x 16 mm. The Sony Ericsson Hazel comes in a choice of Superior Black and Passionate Rouge and will be available in the second quarter of 2010.



The Sony Ericsson Elm is slightly more compact featuring a 2.2 inch screen, 280 MB of internal memory and its dimensions are 110 x 45 x 14 mm. The Sony Ericsson Elm comes in a choice of Metal Black and Pearly Rose and will be available from the first quarter of 2010.

Nokia E72 officially announced

First of all, the E72 has an optical trackpad, which should make scrolling and panning more intuitive. A 5MP autofocus camera with flash has been added, alongside a 3.5mm headset jack, while 3G connectivity was upgraded to HSDPA 10.2 Mbpsa and HSUPA 2.0 Mbps.
As you can see, Nokia E72 is as slim as the E71. The smartphone will be available in late Q3 2009 (September?), for an estimated retail price of €350 ($486).
