Metal Gear Solid Touch for iPhone finally released in full

here we go, the only thing in the iPhone’s lifespan so far that’s ever made me jealous of Apple users. Ever since it was announced, I’ve been plotting Dan’s imminent and messy downfall for getting to play a version of Metal Gear Solid 4, before me…

Yes, I’m talking about, of course, Metal Gear Solid Touch for the iPhone, because now, according to IntoMobile, it’s been given its full release, and the complete and whole game is ready to be played and downloaded.

However, needless to say, it’s not going to have the same gameplay mechanics or stunning visuals of the PS3 version (but then, real life often can’t replicate how good PS3 visuals are), but what you get instead, if you’re an iPhone owner, is 20 levels of what amounts to pointing and shooting action.

Basically, it sounds like Konami have taken the Metal Gear Solid experience, and shoehorned it into a much simpler gameplay concept, to make it work on a phone. So, it’s a tappy pointy shooter, set in the MGS universe, that follows the story of MGS 4 very closely, and stars ol’ grumpy-drawers himself?

Now, what I want to know is when they’re going to make versions for other phones. Windows Mobile’d easily be powerful enough to run it, from what I’ve seen of the visuals. And yes, I’m thinking Toshiba TG01 at this point, since it actually has 3D acceleration, as well as a 1GHz processor and a 4.1 inch screen.
