Nokia strategically will launch its N96 mobile phone just two days before the launch of Apple iPhone. N96 has been getting lots of media attention recently, and the week will witness a clash of titans. Evidently, Apple is going to launch its iPhone on 22nd August, and the mega launch of the product is awaited eagerly by gizmo freaks in India. Both the phones are highly promising products.
Nokia N96 is the proud successor of Nokia N95, which too received lots of attention from customers. According to reports the phone will be available in the market from the first week of September. Some striking features of the N96 are 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, flash and video light. Also it does have DVD-like quality video capture at 30 frames per second.
Other features of the N96 include MPEG-4, Windows Media Video and Flash Video, high-speed USB 2.0 connection and WLAN and HSDPA support. The phone has capacity to save 40 hours of video content, which is expandable with optional microSD card. N96 being from the Ovi family of Nokia internet services has maps, music, media sharing facilities.
